Facts About Destination : Considered the most beautiful city in Mexico, Queretaro was established by the Spanish nearly 500 years ago. It is known as the safest, fastest growing, hi-tech cities in Mexico with dozens of international companies and two of the largest shopping centers in all of Latin America.
Area Information : Tequisquiapan and Bernal are examples of Mexican villages with wineries and cheese-making nearby.
Why visit : Queretaro's historic district consists of about 60 blocks of Spanish colonial buildings including homes, cloisters, gardens and several beautiful churches. Visit anyone of nine plazas with fountains in a brief walk on even terrain. Cultural festivals about throughout the year.
How to reach : Queretaro International Airport (QRO) receives direct flights from Houston, Dallas, Detroit and Atlanta. Registered taxis take you to our location in the historic center for about $22 USD. Queretaro also has a leading hub for buses which go almost anywhere in Mexico.
Best time to visit : Any time of year for temperatures hover around 70 degrees, dipping into the 40's in November and December and the low 90's in the afternoons in April, May and June. The rainy season is June through mid-October and is beautiful with rain starting at around 4:30 pm if it rains at all and ending in beautiful, bright mornings, mostly T-shirt weather.
