From its gracious low country exterior to its pristine pool and landscaped site, our home is a luxurious vacation retreat for friends and family to share and enjoy. Located in beautiful North Forest Beach, a private residential community, this third house from the ocean is only 100 steps to the beautiful and uncrowded beach. The beaches of this neighborhood are among the most private on the island. A ten-minute walk along the beach or bike path will take you to Coligny Circle with its shops, fine and casual dining and markets.
Unique in design, this single-level home features a sunken living area and separate dining area. The dining area has vaulted ceilings and skylights and leads to the private pool. Enclosed off the dining area is the laundry room.
Separated from the other three bedrooms is the master bedroom with a king-size bed and private bath. The other three bedrooms are located on the opposite side of the house, one of which has a king-size bed with a full private bath. The other two bedrooms share a bath. with two twins in one, and a queen and bunk bed in the other. Extras include a screened porch, multiple flat screen televisions, and a pool in a quiet and private yard, with heat available at an additional charge ($275/wk).
This beautifully landscaped property offers a fenced yard with large, heated (additional cost) pool, outdoor dining area, lounge area and grill. There is also a private shower off the pool area.
The electronics package includes high speed Internet access, cable, multiple televisions including a 50 inch plasma HDTV, Wii and DVD/Blu Ray players.
Parking is available for four cars. We have made arrangements with Riding Tigers Bike Rental to obtain discounted pricing on weekly bicycle rentals. Call them at 843-686-5833.

We had the best time! The house was lovely, spacious, and comfortable. We were so close to the water!!!! The pool was great, my recommendation if you are staying late Sept/Early Oct is to go ahead and pay to have it heated. Wayne was great to work with, readily available when we had questions. We will absolutely stay here again.
Never been to Hilton Head? Much of the island is owned by large resort "plantations." North Forest Beach is a quiet, elegant community of mostly single family homes nestled among live oaks and palmettos and arranged in rows from the beach. 21 Jacana is in the third row which means you are on the spectacular beach in less than 100 steps. Or you can walk by a lagoon. Just head three blocks in the opposite direction. Want to shop but avoid the car driving and parking lots that plague you back home? Put a pack on your back and walk to shopping almost entirely on the beach. Never rented a house for a vacation? This one is your private resort. It is attractive and exactly as pictured with a wonderful floor plan, great privacy and a beautiful pool with a heating system that really works. Nervous about renting directly from an owner who lives in Ohio? We have been here for a month, made three calls about relatively minor issues, got through immediately and problems were addressed instantly. We've rented houses and apartments all over the world, all with on-site "managers," but never had attentive responses that equalled those by this owner. Added to that was very detailed and cordial help before we came. We've signed up for next year.
This was the perfect house for our growing family. We had plenty of room, the location was perfect, and the pool was wonderful!
I loved our visit to Hilton Head. This home is beautiful and allowed our family to have the space and comfort we needed. It was close to the beach which was perfect with young kids. Wayne was so easy to work with and so nice. We would recommend this home to any family looking for a great family beach experience!
House had everything we needed. Private backyard, pool, beach, cooking and grilling tools, plenty of towels, and clean. Seriously close to the beach. We rented bikes per Wayne's recommendation and they were really reasonably priced. We biked around the island and to Coligny Circle a couple of times. Highly recommend!
The house is great and you can’t ask for a better location to the beach and it is in walking distance to Coligny Plaza. Which we did multiple times during our stay. The house has a great layout and multiple seating areas inside and out. We enjoyed breakfast on the screened porch every morning. Kitchen is fully equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We would definitely rent this home again, the next time we come to HHI without our dogs.
What a great week in a beautiful house! The house was perfect for our family and extended family that came to visit, everyone had plenty of room. We made great use of the grill and cooked in several nights. The pool and proximity to the beach could not have been better! Wayne was great to work with and very responsive. We will be back next year!
Great location and the property was fantastic. Plenty of room for our family with 2 master bedrooms. Kitchen is small, but adequate. The screen porch was a great place for outdoor meals. Would come back to this location
The inside is a little small, but the backyard, pool, screened-in porch and proximity 2 the beach more than make up for that. Great for one or two families with a bunch of little kids!
Loved everything about the house. Room layout, pool, proximity to the beach... I could go on and on. Had a minor problem and Wayne had it fixed within 3 hours. Thank you for letting us stay at this beautiful house.
