Upstairs, the master bedroom with ensuite is furnished with gorgeous pochote wood. Both the master and second bedrooms walk out to a large balcony where you can savor your morning coffee or sunset wine, watching the resident howler monkeys swinging in the trees or looking for whales, dolphins, and manta rays in the bay. The third bedroom looks out the other direction over the islands of the Gulf of Papagayo. Pieces by local artists and canvas prints of photos taken in the area decorate the walls. USB ports can be found throughout the Villa, for convenient recharging of your electronics, and a built in HDMI connection allows you to connect your device to the flat screen tv in case you can't find what you're looking for on the cable channels. If you are looking for complete relaxation, you can chill beside the quiet ocean view infinity pool just a five minute walk up from the Villa, or lunch and nap at the beachfront pool and restaurant before your afternoon ocean side massage. Or, if you are the more adventurous type, the area offers endless fun and adrenalin, from sport fishing to ziplining, from wildlife tours to snorkeling and scuba diving. When I spend time in a tropical climate I want to spend the bulk of my time outdoors. This property beautifully integrated indoor and outdoor living space. The kitchen has been modernized to integrate perfectly with their large patio. We enjoyed watching the sun go down on the upper deck and dinners on the lower deck. Morning coffee outside on the shaded patio. We would definitely choose this Villa again because of the extra outdoor living space and recommend anyone who is interested in touring the area to check it out. The owners were accomodative and professional. The highlight of our stay was snorkling on a beach recommended by the owners.
The villa is beautifully done. It exceeded our expectations. First class linens, bedding, and kitchen accessories. Quality large and small appliances and more than enough to cook with, make drinks, etc. Excellent instructions about everything on villa and in surrounding area. Amazing view! We did two days of fishing (hooked three rooster fish!), a sunset sailing trip, kayaking all right from the beach at the resort. Juan was so helpful with our kayaking. Kayaking is hard when it\'s windy! The resort is neat and orderly, people so friendly and helpful. Cesar in the office was so helpful. We also went zip lining and ATV\'ing, and went into Liberia for dinner at Andre and Monique\'s. the office helped us organize all of it. Everything was great. The boys used the pool a lot too. The restaurant on site is great on - good food and service. Cesar in the restaurant is the best! You do a great job of communicating and assisting with the pr-travel planning too, which was so helpful. We would definitely recommend your villa to our friends.
What a special spot! We\'ve been to Costa Rica before, but Bahia Pez Vela and this villa in particular are really quite special and unique. The villa has been newly renovated with a gorgeous chef\'s kitchen, a large outdoor living space, and an upstairs patio with the most incredible 270 degree view. Most of the units in the resort are duplexes, but this villa is on it\'s own on a ridge above the ocean and is very private. We spent lots of time on the different patios listening to the waves below and watching howler monkeys in the trees! We loved the Bahia Pez Vela complex too. It\'s nestled in its own little cove with a gorgeous black sand beach and two different pools, one up above the villa and one by the beach next to the restaurant. We went on morning hikes in the hills around the resort too—Roxi helped us choose the best routes to explore. You really can\'t beat the location of the villa. We went on a few day trips to different beaches of Guanacaste but always looked forward to coming back to the resort and spending time on the patio or at the pool. We ate lunch poolside at the restaurant in the resort, Picante, a couple of times and it was great! So nice to have a restaurant in the resort and the staff were wonderful. Overall, this place was the perfect, luxurious launching pad for our adventure vacation. We\'ll definitely be back on our next visit to Costa Rica.
