We just spent a week in HEAVEN! Everything about this property is 1st class. The location is beautiful and the accomadations are the greatest. We are really looking forward to our next trip because I know this is where we would stay. We have never had such luxury in such a beautiful setting.
This is a fantastic, first -class retreat! Quiet and serene it makes for a great location to go around the area and sight-see, fish or whatever. I would recommend it to anyone wanting a \"top-of-the-line\" vacation location!
We spent 2 weeks south of Anchorage in June 2011, in the most incredible parts of Alaska from our point of view! This home is by FAR the most AMAZING place you could possibly stay south of Anchorage, and trust me I researched for months! It is also so centrally located that you can experience the beauty of Alaska\'s Glacier tours in Whittier, Whale Watching Tours out of Seward, Wildlife Conservation Center in Girdwood, Homer, etc. for any day trips you care to undertake, knowing that you\'ll sleep easy in a very safe, quite and luxurious home each evening. Or just releax and hang around the house with the beautiful Kenai river in the backyard! Snowcapped mountain views as the backdrop and Eagles flying through the backyard as you sit and enjoy coffee from the family room. Rafting tours on the beautiful river are literally walking distance from the home. In our 15 years of family vacations, this has truly been our most amazing vacation. Places to stay closer to all the attractions are literally the difference between a 1 or 2+ star place compared to this obvious 5 star home. Alaska is so spread out, you\'re really best off in my view to stay central and live in luxury, then to commit to a low quality lodge with average restaurants surrounding the destination city. The on site caretakers are so hospitable and attentive to any needs you may have. NO complaints!!!
I was lucky enough to spend 7 days at the Alaska River Family Retreat at the end of June 2011/beginning of July. The weather couldn\'t have been more perfect where we were. The actual property was the most beautiful place I have stayed at in Alaska and would recommend it to anyone who asked. I loved it so much that my fiance and I contemplated getting married on the property. The Kenai was the most beautiful clear bluish green and the mountains surrounding the area were breathtaking. If you get a chance to stay on the Kenai, you will have no regrets staying in this beautiful family retreat.
First off I have to thank my parents for bringing us to the amazing state of Alaska! When they first described the house we would be staying in they barely did it wonders even with their excitement! This place was unbelievably beautiful and was beyond impressed with the modern luxury this home provided. From the custom steel railings to the steam shower the home was exactly what anyone needs or wants in comfort. I would like to thank the owners for being so hospitable and allowing for us to experience their beautiful property and home. A must stay for anyone seeking seclusion or adventure!
Had the most wonderful and relaxing time at copper landing. Beyond peaceful and picturesque. Looking to take in Alaska in a peacful and quite way, this place won\'t disappoint.
The Alaskans at Cooper Landing is a beautiful property. The friendly and helpful caretakers met us upon arrival and were there to assist us with anything we needed. The Kenai River is spectacular. There are several rules that we were made aware of upon arriving--shoes may not be worn in the house, certain lighting features must be used sparingly, campfires anywhere on property are prohibited, and the most unfortunate rule was that the gorgeous wood fireplace, as listed under the \"Amenities\" category, is no longer available for guests to use. Definitely a beautiful home and view!
This is one of the most beautiful lodges I\'ve stayed. It was designed in a perfect way to show the beauty of Alaska. I would recommend this cabin to anyone! Gorgeous!
The week we spent here was fantastic. This artfully crafted \'lodge\' home is stunning inside and out. We were comfortable and pampered beyond expectation from our first booking questions through our stay. The location was great for us as a central place to return from adventures in Seward, Homer, and Soldotna. But it was tempting to stay \'home\' everyday! Outside, we enjoyed the stunning views from the lawn, riverfront and generous porch. Inside, we were cozy, marveled at the beauty of the property, and slept well in amazing beds. When cooking or grilling, we found the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The caretakers, the Larsens, were responsive and helpful, so be sure to contact them! The Coulsens have created a very special place and the Kenai River and Cooper Landing are gems.
What a treat! This place is beautiful inside and out. And we were spoiled by the caretaker who picked up groceries for us, and delivered them upon our arrival. Such a nice gesture to not have to do on vacation. Easy access from Seward to Soldotna. My only suggestion is an upgrade on the bedding. The sleep number beds and pillows were not comfortable for anyone in our group. But that could just be a preference, but I wanted to share it as our experience. Thanks for everything! We\'d love to visit again if we get up that way.
