Stargazer villa is built on the top of the hill of Schinias, overlooking the plain of Marathon. For those history buffs, this is the area where the famous "Battle of Marathon" took place during the Persian wars in the 400s BC. The entire villa has 550 square meter (about 6000 sq ft) of living space in addition to over 250 sq m of balconies and porticos. The gas grill BBQ area is perched in the corner of the back yard, with its fruit trees rock garden and wild vegetation. This custom designed kitchen is beautiful, spacious, and modern bedecked with white diamond granite-top counters that sparkle with every hint of light. It is surrounded by beautiful warm wooden cabinetry and boasts of both bar and dinette seating. The bar area provides for your basic needs of local wine and of course ouzo! The dinette is right side of the kitchen which flows into the sunken living room and dinning room separated by a short wall. The kitchen is separated by a wall from the sunken living room so the "living" space flows through out. You will never feel like you have been put "away" in a room cooking!

This private retreat amongst the clouds will remain in your memory forever. You will never want to leave this part of the house. Enter the master suite on the second floor and your breath will be taken away by the view from the wall of windows in the lush private sitting room. This is the corner away from it all, overlooking the large expanse of the Aegean and several islands. Five huge windows adorn the entire southern wall and allow maximum viewing of the sea. The soft white leather couches are perfect for curling up and enjoying your favorite book, or just the view! Walk out to the huge circular veranda and enjoy the peace and stillness of the morning as the sun reminds you it is time to get ready to explore Greece. A ceiling fan keeps you cool and comfortable most of the summer. There is a sea breeze at all times and the streaming sun in the winter keeps you warm and comfortable.  Past the sitting room to your right is the huge master bedroom, made complete with the most comfortable pillow-top king size bed you've ever slept in. You can lie on the bed and watch the lit coast line in the distance with the moon shimmering in the calm waters of the sea. If you leave the windows of the sitting room open (I always do), you can wake up at day break and watch the sun rise from your bed. You can then get up and close the shutters and go back to sleep for another hour or two. Of course you can always close all the shutters (electrically controlled) and never be awakened by any sunlight! You can then wake up when you wish. The bedding is top of the line quality with an orthopedic pillow top mattress. We want you to experience the best Greece has to offer, but not the Greek beds! Most Greek beds are fashioned after what the ancient Spartans used to sleep on. Great for young soldiers but not for me, and certainly not for our guests. All of our bedding is hypoallergenic. The sheets are of high quality cotton thread. They are soft and cool to the touch in the summer and warm in the winter. We do not use any softeners in the wash as we try very hard to establish an eco friendly environment. We have avoided any kind of down comforters or pillows to ensure that there is no possibility of discomfort due to allergies associated with these types of covers. We have tried to supply pillows of varying softness to give our guests the maximum number of choices. A full wall is lined with a custom made closet and shelving beautifully adorned with museum copies of vases found at the archaeological site of Akrotiri, on the island of Santorini. The bathroom is tiled with Versace tiles that look as if they were just plucked from an old Venetian villa. The color of the tiles is a combination of rose and off white and add to the luxury and the expanse of the master bathroom. There are three wall to wall custom made mirrors above the large sink area rimmed with exquisite Greek key designs. The private jacuzzi with its large window overlooks the sea and the landscape. My favorite part of the bathroom is the large walk in shower! It is good enough for at least two adults! The WC is a separate good size room that allows for maximum privacy.
