We enjoyed the subway being steps from the entry door, the deli and the bar on the same block. the apartment could use some freshening-large hole in ceiling, fans need cleaning. It is an old building, with some quirks that you can manage for a short term but would want fixed if you lived there. The host was cordial. No one ever checked in us the entire stay, we paid cash and took the keys to the apartment. We were somewhat hesitant to make the final payment off-site of the apartment but it worked out. Overall was a nice alternative to hotel rooms.
