Unique, whimsical beach cottage set on a special little pond that we share with exquisite Florida seabirds. You can also choose to rent this fun "Convertible PT Cruiser" to complete your vacation. The cottage is tastefully decorated with a seaside theme to give guests the feel of a true summer beach vacation. It is just a quick 7 min drive to the beach and only 2 mins from Old Englewood’s famous Dearborn Street with its fun shops, bars & dining. Golf courses, jetski/boat rentals, etc. close by.

The pond is actually owned by the beautiful, protected birds who reside there, but they have graciously allowed us to share it with them. There are egrets, blue herons, wood storks, ibis, and plenty of other species that are truly a breathtaking sight to behold. Our birds will come right up to the lanai to share the sunset with you or provide delightful entertainment during your morning coffee. They are harmless, polite, never loud or annoying and they don’t poo everywhere like geese. Your kids or grandkids will love them!
The home has an open floor plan with two bedrooms, both en-suite and at different ends of the property, allowing utmost privacy. The master bedroom has a King bed and leads out to the lanai. The guest room has bunk beds with a Queen at the bottom and a Single on top. The property comfortably sleeps 5 people, but I have blow-up beds for extra guests and kids.
The large glass sliding doors pocket away to allow for indoor/outdoor Florida living. The kitchen comes with all the necessary appliances including a Keurig for the coffee connoisseur, an electric kettle for the tea drinker, and a regular old (well actually it's new) coffee maker for those who don’t want all the fancy-schmancy stuff. Also, there is a steamer, a slow cooker, a mixer, instapot, and lots of other extra kitchen gadgets.
Englewood is a true "Old Florida", charming little coastal town, nestled between Venice and Port Charlotte. “Woodstork Pond Cottage” is located in Piccadilly Estates, a lovely quiet, very safe, private community. There are many beaches close by, plus golf courses, bars, dining, and shopping. The local Farmers Market on Thursdays in “Old Englewood” is always fun, they have jazz nights on Dearborn, a sunset beach drum circle close by, and lots of other activities for your pleasure all just a few minutes away.
You will love staying at this very special, unique property.

Other things to note
The wifi is the fastest available as especially during the baseball season (because we are close to the fields) a lot of business people like to take a working holiday and need the speed. There is also a wireless printer available for your convenience. All codes will be supplied on check-in. Plus a music soundbar to hook up to your Spotify or other music application.
The property does NOT have a private pool, but there is a fabulous public pool, with a fun kiddie pool as well, just 8 minutes away that is just $3/$2 a day to use.

The host, home, backyard nature and location were all wonderful! We had a great trip.
Such a great place, our kids loved the back yard pond and patio. We spent more time there than expected because it was so pleasant, clean and peaceful. Will book again! Great stay.
We enjoyed our stay at Woodstork Cottage so much. From the moment we walked through the door, we felt perfectly at home. The cottage is spotless and the decor is charming and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the water birds who greeted us daily. Susie is a wonderful host and attentive and quickly available. I recommend staying and enjoying a little piece of heaven on the west coast of Florida.

Susie is amazing and the home is beautiful. She is responsive and helped us out when we were scrambling to find a place in emergency situation. We had a wonderful stay.
Susie was over the top with detailed instructions on her home. I knew how to work and where everything was. The location is so close to Manasota Key/Englewood Beach. my family and I paddle boarded for hours. There are beach chair and umbrella and umbrella rentals as well. So much to do locally. Adorable town, coffee shops and restaurants. But most of all we enjoyed Woodstock Cottage. We relaxed on the patio and cooked a delicious sunday dinner and played board games as well one evening. What a hidden gem! Thank you Susie for being such a wonderful hostess. We will be back soon.

Absolutely darling! So many thoughtful touches throughout. Susie was so easy to communicate with and helpful with suggestions. The bed was heavenly!!! She knows how to pick her linens and pillows !!! Ice cold air conditioning makes coming home from a hot day feel like heaven!! Close to town and the beach . Thank you Susie !!!!!!
This home is in a great location. So close to the beaches! We enjoyed watching the birds, turtles and alligator in pond behind the house. The neighborhood is very quiet. We felt very relaxed and at home in the house. Susie is awesome and we appreciated all the info and her quick responses. We hope to be back next year!
