Bonefish Bay was the perfect prescription for this busy family of 6! We have children ages 6, 8, 14, and 16...all at different schools and in multiple extracurricular activities. This beach house provided us the perfect place to relax and re-connect. The property was exactly as it was portrayed online. Scot, the owner, was so gracious and he was available for us to call with any concerns or questions throughout our entire stay. The house is located directly on the beach of bonefish bay, and there are NO neighbors. We saw an occasional fisherman or local collecting conchs from the bay. Otherwise, total seclusion. WE LOVED IT! The house offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay, and it was well supplied with all the extras like detergent, dish soap, and paper products. Scot prepared us prior to our arrival with helpful information about what needed to bring, and fun activities to incorporate into our vacation while we were visiting. All of the kids found fun activities to entertain themselves. It was nice to see them enjoy the outdoors and play until they were exhausted! There were four kayaks, a canoe, and wind boards/paddle boards for us to use and enjoy. The locals on the island were all very friendly and helpful when we had questions. It was a wonderful week at Bonefish Bay. We will definitely consider re-visiting! Submitted: Mar 23, 2016 Stayed: March 2016 Source: VRBO, from HomeAway
We're on our last day here in paradise, packing up for the voyage home. Our stay at Bonefish Bay was wonderful. We've rented many houses at numerous islands throughout the Bahamas and, without doubt, this house was the nicest that we've stayed in. It's not luxurious or fancy but it is very spacious, impeccably clean, and extremely well equipped. We really appreciated the beauty and peacefulness of the private setting. The house easily accommodated seven of us and could probably have slept an additional four people if we wanted to. The owner's customer service was simply outstanding (both leading up to and during our stay). It really made everything easy and enhanced the quality of our stay. We would love to visit Bonefish Bay again in the not too distant future.
Great house, owner is very accommodating. The property is spectacular, very relaxing, lots of toys to use. Flat in front of the house great for wading, lot's of fish, things to see. Great spot for families - we'll be back!
Six adults consisting of two couples and two singles. Plenty of room for everyone. Kitchen very well appointed (I especially appreciated the reverse osmosis filtered water, delicious.). Three of us are avid fly fisherman and there is a great bonefish flat just out the door.
Owners have built a beautiful retreat in a secluded paradise. If you are looking for Casinos and nightlife this is not your place. If you are looking for a private piece of paradise with miles of beach and beautiful flats to explore with a small group of friends or family then this is your place. Scott was extremely helpful and a great resource for anything and everything Andros.
I have fishing 6 different islands in the Bahamas many time since 1988. I generally rent a house. This was the nicest of them all. You can walk out the back door and in less then 100 feet you walk into 4 miles of flats. The house has very nice furniture and a kitchen you would like to have in your house. Even have sharp knives. The views out every window is awesome. There are a lot of toys to use as well. Direct tv. Food on the island is scarce so bring as much as you can. If you have a layover in nassau there is a nice supermarket easily reached by cab. The 2 restaurants we tried where Brigadier and Sammy"s Both have very good food. Fishing was not very good. We had very windy and overcast days the 4 days we fished. This would not deter me from going again but I would hope for better conditions. Overall we had a great time. This place is awesome. You will need to rent a car.
